The Buckstaff Bath House is the only bath house still operating in Hot Springs National Park. Hot Springs National Park is located in Hot Springs, Arkansas and has been protected by the U.S. government since 1832. Since 1912, the Buckstaff Bath House has been offering therapeutic water treatments for its visitors on historic bath house row.
Bathing in therapeutic waters is a relaxing treatment that offers many potential health benefits. For centuries, people have recognized the therapeutic value of thermal mineral waters. People who suffer from stress, arthritis and other joint pain often find relief and comfort in the therapeutic baths. Specific services include tub baths, hot packs, sitz baths and vapor (steam) cabinets. These services are all regulated by the National Park Service. If you desire longer or modified treatments then simply provide the staff with a doctor's prescription for a specific treatment and they will be happy to accommodate you.
The staff and atmosphere of the Buckstaff Bath House is both professional and traditional. There are separate floors for male and female bathers. Individual tubs give each bather privacy and the chance to relax. All linens and supplies are provided.
In addition to traditional mineral baths, Swedish massages, manicures, pedicures and facials are also offered at the Buckstaff Bath House. Reservations are not accepted for baths or massages but are required for other services. Visitors are encouraged to stop by during their visit to Hot Springs National Park and to experience the natural restorative properties of the services provided at a traditional therapeutic bath house.
