Hot Springs National Park
Hot Springs National Park is widely considered the oldest in the United States. Beginning as a reservation in 1832 it became a National Park on March 4, 1921. With 47 natural hot springs, 8 public bath houses and Bathhouse Row this park became known as The American Spa. Here you can take a stroll through the Grand Promenade behind Bathhouse Row where you'll get a glimpse of the springs and the beautiful landscape or take advantage of the 26 miles of daytime hiking trails winding throughout the park. Hot Springs' Lake Catherine State Park
Nestled in the beautiful Ouachita Mountains is Lake Catherine State Park. Offering 70 campsites, 17 fully equipped cabins and two rent-a-camp sites, this park has everything to make this the perfect family vacation. Spend your day at the camp site, picnic, hike, swim, fish or rent a boat and explore the lake itself. Guided tours and hikes are also available and on-site laundry, playgrounds and groceries make it a convenient vacation spot.
Hot Springs Lake Ouachita State Park
For the avid fisherman Lake Ouachita in Lake Ouachita State Park is considered one of Arkansas' best fishing lakes. Spend the day catching bass, crappie, bream, catfish rainbow trout and more on the beautiful waters. If fishing just isn't for you, not to worry.
