The name of the of the pub, Market Cross, can go back hundreds of years to a small little town in England called Carlisle. There were political problems with different countries all trying to defend their own empires without being invaded. In 1682, a monument was put up in the middle of the town (called their town square) and named Market Cross. Today Market Cross is a popular spot for meetings, gatherings and get-togethers.
