Quick Hershey Vacation Ideas and Things To Do

If you're looking to get away for a weekend or only have a few days to spare, you'll still be able to pack in most of what Hershey has to offer. To get the most out of your trip, and the most chocolate into it, make sure to visit some of the attractions below.

For the Nature and Animal Lovers

  • Hershey Gardens. Spend as little as a few hours, or as much as a full day at Hershey Gardens, a gorgeous 32-acre garden where you can enjoy the fragrance and beauty of over 7,000 roses, rare species of trees and a breathtaking outdoor Butterfly house.
  • ZooAmerica. Spend your day exploring the 11 acres of Hershey's ZooAmerica. The zoo is home to over 200 animals that represent 75 species. It's divided up into five regions that feature animals representing five different regions of North America.

For the History Buff

  • Hershey Museum. History lovers will want to put a few hours aside to learn all about the history of the town of Hershey and the man who made it famous. You'll see the original working chocolate factory machinery, town artifacts and more.
  • Hershey Trolley Works. Spend the afternoon on a historic Trolley tour. This tour offers a fun and unique way to experience the atmosphere and history of Hershey. You'll begin your tour at Hershey's Chocolate World and then the singing trolley conductors take you on a historical tour of the town of Hershey.

For Everyone

  • HersheyPark. If amusement parks are your thing, you'll definitely want to put a day aside to visit HersheyPark. This park was rated the #1 Amusement Park in the Northeast by Family Fun Magazine. Have fun braving the thrill rides, enjoying the live entertainment and indulging in all the chocolate you can handle.
  • Hershey's Chocolate World. No visit to Hershey is complete without the Hershey's Chocolate World experience. Put aside a couple hours to take a simulated factory tour that starts you in the tropical jungle where the cocoa beans are harvested and lets you follow the journey to America where the Hershey's candy is made. After the tour you can enjoy a free sample of a Hershey product.
