Spend Labor Day Weekend in Washington DC exploring historically patriotic sights, enjoying live performances at the Kennedy Center, eating at world famous eateries as well as plenty of other activities with this vacation package.

Day 1:

Touch down in Washington DC at Regan Airport and then meet up with your local guide to begin your tour. Your first stops will be at the Jefferson and Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorials. Have lunch at the Old Post Office Pavilion and marvel at the Romanesque architecture and 315- foot clock tower. View the original Constitution, Bill of Rights, and Declaration of Independence when you visit the National Archives. Then, check into the Hampton Inn Convention Center for your three night stay. After you have enjoyed dinner, catch a show on the Millennium Stage at the Kennedy Center or just take a walk through enjoying the astonishing view of Washington from the roof tops.

 Day 2:

You and your guide will make stops at The Vietnamese Veterans Memorial, The Korean War Memorial, The Lincoln Memorial, and the National World War II Memorial for brief history lessons. Then, you'll be taken to The White House where you'll have a photo-op. After lunch in Union Square, you'll be taken on a tour of Hillwood Museum and Gardens. Take a drive through Georgetown and have dinner in the evening at Tony and Joe's on the waterfront. After dinner, continue on to the Illuminated Monument Tour featuring stop at the Airforce Memorial which overlooks the Pentagon. Finally, wrap up your day at the Pentagon 9/11 Memorial Park, honoring the 184 victims of the attacks at The Pentagon on September 11, 2001.

 Day 3:

The day is yours to enjoy Washington DC on your own! Try getting around by either the Metro, the DC Circulator, or the Tourmobile Sightseeing Tram. Information on how to access these transportation options will be provided. Visit attractions such as The Smithsonian, The National Zoological Park, and the Philips Collection or spend the day shopping!

You'll meet up with your guide later on in the afternoon for the International Dine Around tour. You'll sample coffee and appetizers at the Coeur De Lion Restaurant and then drive down Embassy Row where you can view embassies and associations that used to be home to the socially elite in the 1920s. You'll pass Washington Cathedral, the sixth largest church in the world, on your way to Café Atlantico and then on to Casablanca in Old Town Alexandria where you'll dine on pastries as you watch a traditional belly dancer perform. Sights to see in Old Town Alexandria on your drive through include George Washington Masonic National Memorial, Robert E. Lee's Boyhood Home, and Christ Church. Finish out your evening at the Round Robin Bar in Willard Hotel.

 Day 4:

Your first stop of the day with your guide is Mount Vernon, the former estate of George Washington. Visit other sights near Mount Vernon like the Donald W. Reynolds Museum, the Education Center at Mount Vernon, and the Ford Orientation Center. Have lunch this afternoon at Gadsby's Tavern, a historical place where nearly all of the forefathers of American Independence dined. Spend the last leg of your vacation in Old Town Alexandria browsing specialty and antique shops enjoying the small town feel. Then go back to your hotel and prepare for your flight back home.
