The Phillips Collection in Washington, DC

The Phillips Collection is America's first museum of modern art and its collection features many famous works by Picasso, Matisse, Braque, Klee, and Renoir's famous masterpiece Luncheon of the Boating Party. The museum first opened in 1921 in the home of Duncan Phillips. In addition to its spectacular collection, today the the museum hosts a variety of traveling exhibits and presents a variety of educational activities including lectures, seminars, workshops, and training programs.
