The memorial is situated on three acres of land that is beautiful landscaped around the touching memorial. Sadly, new names are added to the memorial each year. Some include Isaac Smith, the first American law enforcement officer killed in the line of duty in 1792; the 72 officers who perished as a result of the 9/11 terrorist attacks; the six officers killed by outlaw Billy the Kid and ten killed by Bonnie & Clyde; Anna Hart, the first female office killed in the line of duty; John Wilson, the first African-American officer killed in the line of duty; and thousands more.
