Kenilworth Park & Aquatic Gardens in Washington, DC
This enchanting park covers 700 acres of Anacostia Park and includes gardens, marshland, and Kenilworth Park with 9 ball fields, picnic areas, and extensive grasslands. Located off the east side of the Anacostia River, this park is the only National Park Service that has devoted itself to preserving and displaying aquatic plants. Dozens of varieties of plants find a home in this aquatic garden, perfect for a leisurely stroll. Marshlands fill 77 acres next to three sides of the aquatic gardens. Kenilworth Park boasts an impressive nine ball fields, including basketball and tennis courts, soccer and baseball fields.
