Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Constitution Hall in Washington, DC

The hall was built in 1929 to house DAR conventions and is registered as a National Historic Landmark. Although its beginnings were for internal purposes, the hall nows plays host to a variety of national acts and events, including first-class concerts and performances.
Mrs. Calvin Coolidge laid the cornerstone of the building in 1928, and every president who has held office since her husband's term has attended events at the DAR Constitution Hall. The building became a Red Cross Headquarters during World War II, and has recently hosted nationally televised events including the Country Music Association Awards, HBO Specials, Jeopardy! competitions and the National Sports Awards!
