Thanksgiving Parades and Activities in Washington, DC
Market Street and Freedom Drive are the playground for an Annual Holiday Parade on Thanksgiving Day, with floats, a Tree Lighting Ceremony, music, and fun, starting at 11 a.m.. Also, for those in the Silver Springs area, Sligo and Georgia Avenues host a Thanksgiving Parade in the Entertainment District. From 9:30 a.m. on, bands will play, and animals, marching performers, and dancers will fill the streets for a festive occasion on the 19th of November.
