Visit the memorial that marks the grave of John F. Kennedy, The Eternal Flame to celebrate and remember the 35th president of the United States. 

The nation mourned as John F. Kennedy, the youngest president ever, was buried at Arlington National Cemetery on Nov. 25, 1963, his term cut short by an assassin's bullet.  During the funeral, Mrs. Kennedy lit The Eternal Flame, which burns from the center of a five-foot circular flat-granite stone at the head of the grave, to commemorate the great president. The Eternal Flame remains to this day to be one of the most visited locations in Arlington.
