American Kidney Fund Walk at Georgetown in Washington, DC
Let the steps you walk change a life at the American Kidney Fun Walk at Georgetown! You already walk every day, let some of those steps make a big difference in someone's life.
This annual walk is a primary fundraising effort for the American Kidney Fund. Their mission is to provide financial assistance to kidney patients who are in need, and education to people who are at risk for kidney disease. AKF knows living with kidney disease is hard so they are encouraging everyone to walk to help raise awareness of this devastating disease and encourage screening for high risk individuals to provide early identification of kidney disease. The funds raised will help people in the DC area!
This 4-mile walk is untimed and noncompetitive. It will begin and end at Washington Harbour, a scenic setting combining the pleasure of Georgetown with the natural beauty of the Potomac riverfront.
