American Indian Tools at Great Falls Park in McLean, VA

Great Falls Park, located in McLean, Virginia, sits right on the Potomac River. Great Falls is part of a string of such parks which make up the George Washington Parkway, a memorial established to preserve the wildlife and scenery surrounding the Potomac. Today it's considered an ideal family vacation site and thousands of people flock to the park every year to enjoy it's myriad events. Occupancy is highest in the spring and fall months, but the park is open to the public all year.
The American Indian Tools exhibit is chief among the events at the park, treating guests to a rare history of the many Native American tribes that were said to inhabit the area.  Not only do visitors learn about which tools were made and used, by tribes such as the Cherokee, but they are also given demonstrations of their use. This attraction is not to be missed and is included in the price of admission to the park.
