More than 120 of Alberta's best performers, artisans, storytellers, cooks, and musicians will be on hand to showcase their talents and skills. Cultural experts will also share the traditions and heritage of Alberta which make it a truly unique city. Carriers of Culture: Living Native Basket Traditions Eighty Native American basketmakers will be at this year's festival to demonstrate the amazing traditions and techniques of their communities. Visitors will also learn about the relationship of basketry with other tribal traditions and knowledge including ceremonies, language, dance, food, and songs. Dance performances and discussions sessions along with hands on activities will help guests learn about these ancient traditions.
