The All Day Washington, DC tour will take you to the area's popular monuments and museums.

What do you do when you visit a State whose two main industries are Federal Government and Tourism? You could take a tour of the Federal Government, of course - and there are plenty of options available. The All Day Washington, DC Interior Buildings Tour includes visit to the White House (subject to availability), the U.S. Capitol, Library of Congress, as well as drives past the FBI Building, and the House and Senate office buildings. The tour also includes several monuments, memorials and museums.

Individual site tours offer the visitor a more in depth look into the lives, backgrounds and historical significance of the subjects. Such tours include:

  • Gettysburg Tour - The site of the costliest battle of the Civil War, with over 50,000 causalities, this was a decisive battle in the war between the States.
  • Colonial Williamsburg Tour - Situated in the colonial capitol of Virginia, this is a community of preserved and reconstructed buildings maintained by a non-profit educational institution.
  • Mount Vernon Tour - Home to George and Martha Washington, this estate offers a 40-minute audio tour that features period music and sound effects of 18th century life.

As you may have noticed, DC tours are not limited to the immediate Washington, DC area. Luxury motorcoaches regularly take visitors on day trips to enjoy the attractions in the surrounding areas. For example:

  • The Wonderful Busch Gardens Tour - This award-winning theme park combines fun family rides and shows with international themes to create an Old World charm.

Finally, here are a couple of exciting places you can head off to on your own. In both cases, you can pre-purchase tickets:

  • Passport: Voyages of Discovery - Located in Baltimore, Maryland, about 50 minutes from DC, Passport is a motion-based theater with a wraparound screen. Passport propels you into the past, the future, and even underwater. While you're in the area, you can also visit the National Aquarium and dine at the Hard Rock Cafe.
  • Chesapeake Music Hall - A 45-minute drive into Annapolis gets you to this very special dinner theatre, performing Broadway hit musicals like Kiss Me Kate, 42nd Street, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and West Side Story.

Washington, DC, and the surrounding areas provide a broad range of attractions for young and old alike. Your visit is sure to be inspiring and insightful, relaxing and entertaining, fun and amazing, all at the same time.

All Day Washington, DC Interior Buildings Tour
Was not forewarned of length of time waiting / standing to get into Capitol. That site was NOT worth the hassle. Otherwise, loved the rest of it.

DC in a Day Tour
I was a little disappointed. I thought the tour guide would escort us through the different sites. We were dropped off and left on our own to figure things out and given a pick up time to leave for the next location.

This tour was very nice, I really enjoyed it. I would recommend that you tour the sites not listed on another day because they are sites definately worth seeing during your stay.
