Madame Tussauds, the world's most famous waxworks museum, opened a branch in Washington, D.C., in 2007. It joined other cities such as New York and Hong Kong in becoming host to Madam Tussauds away from its London home. It features the Spirit of Washington, D.C., exhibit, spotlighting American politics from the Founding Fathers to the present day. It includes a perfect replica of The Oval Office that patrons can be photographed in. Other sections of the museum include Sports, Glamour, and Behind the Scenes, where patrons can learn some of the trade secrets of making these lifelike characters. Madame Tussauds is open 365 days a year from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
