The Wall Drug Store began in 1931, during the great depression, by giving away free ice water to thirsty travelers.
They built its reputation on friendly service and today the family owned business continues to run on that reputation. The store offers a unique collection of western memorabilia, authentic South Dakota jackalopes, fine art, western decorating accessories, and a unique assortment of gifts and collectibles you just can't find anywhere else. So while you are in South Dakota you are encouraged to stop by and have a bite to eat, check out the memorabilia, see the fine art gallery, do some shopping, and play with the kids in the "big back yard." Oh, and don't forget to pick up a glass of the famous Free ice water!
