The High Plains Western Heritage Center is a five-state regional museum dedicated to the pioneers and Native Americans of the Old West. At this museum, you'll be able to see artifacts, art, and photographs on exhibit that showcase pioneer and Native American life in North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Wyoming, and Nebraska during the nineteenth century. You'll be able to see interesting artifacts like the original Spearfish to Deadwood stagecoach, a turn-of-the-century kitchen, saddle shop, and blacksmith shop, rodeo exhibits, and more. During the summertime, this museum features an outdoor animal farm and fully furnished schoolhouse from the nineteenth century. Throughout the year, you can also see live cowboy music, nineteenth century style shows, art events, and more.
