For an educational and interesting experience that takes a look back to prehistoric times, take some time to visit Rapid City's Dinosaur Park.
Dinosaur Park, dedicated to Rapid City, South Dakota in 1936, was constructed by Emmett Sullivan. The realistic, life size figures include an Apatosaurus, Tricetatops, Stegasaurus, Tyrannosaurus Rex, and Brontosaurus.
The statues were constructed with concrete and painted bright green and white undersides. This admission free attraction is entertaining for adults and children alike, while children will often climb the sculptures.
