A great city to stay in while going to Mount Rushmore is Rapid City, and the AmericInn Lodge & Suites is a good convenient location within Rapid City. You are just minutes from food, entertainment, and shopping, as well as some of the areas attractions. They also have an arcade, indoor pool, sauna, and a good deluxe continental breakfast.

It was in a good location and our Grey lines tour picked us up for our tour of Mt Rushmore.
