Annual Storybook Island Fall Festival and Country Carnival at Storybook Island in Rapid City, SD is held for two days, every year, starting from year 2007. If you are a fun-lover, this event promises you a lot of fun and entertainment. This event of two days includes from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., a fun packed program featuring many artists, and craftsmen and food vendors. There is a country carnival for kids and free entertainment. The kids can see their favorite story book characters come alive, and there are nursery rhyme displays. Children can play games like scavenger hunt for prize of ice-cream-treats or T-shirts. The kids can buy games, books, T-shirts and movies. Since the event is a fundraising attempt to meet the increased cost of maintenance of the park and its insurance, every visitor is requested to donate $1 each day. For the members of Storybook Island Club, the admission is free. For others, the tickets are sold at various locations throughout the park.
