Dining and Nightlife Options in Mount Rushmore, SDThe Mount Rushmore area offers a wide variety of fabulous dining options. Whether you're looking for a great family-style restaurant or you want to enjoy the Wild West experience of dining in a saloon or casino, you can find the perfect restaurant to suit your mood in the Mount Rushmore area! Not far from Mount Rushmore in Crazy Horse, and close to the Crazy Horse Memorial you will find the Heritage Village. This large restaurant offers a family friendly atmosphere and a large buffet with home-style favorites for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You can enjoy waffles, bacon, scrambled eggs, and more in the morning, or fresh salad, buffalo stew, sliced beef, and other treats later in the day. To add to your experience, be sure to visit Heritage Village after 8pm nightly (except Mondays) for a live performance of the Original Singing Cowboys. In Deadwood, stop by the Old Style Saloon #10 for an old west experience. This venue is actually an entertainment complex that offers separate areas for dining, gambling, and live entertainment. The Deadwood Social Club offers an elegant ambiance and serves delicious American cuisine. The Powder House Lodge Restaurant is the place to go for great meals in Keystone. This popular restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. With its unique log cabin exterior, you will have a great setting to enjoy a relaxed meal of chicken, seafood, pasta, buffalo meat, and prime rib dishes. The Powder House Lodge also offers a children's menu and is family-friendly. In nearby Custer, you will find the Songbird Cafe. This cafe offers an upbeat atmosphere that is accentuated by live music including open mic nights and scheduled performances, as well as art work from local artisans. The Songbird Cafe specializes in lighter fare such as sandwiches and salads, and also offers smoothies, coffee, wine, and beer. If you're looking for a unique spot to enjoy a meal, head to the Gaslight Dining Saloon just outside of Rapid City. This Saloon sits in the old ghost town of Rockerville and offers a historic ambiance. Yet with a 10-foot big screen TV, this is the place to enjoy the day's televised sporting events. Menu items include seafood, pasta, prime rib, bourbon rib-eye steak, and more. This family-friendly joint also has a children's menu.
