Mount Rushmore TourExperience historic American presidents George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson and Theodore Roosevelt in larger-than-life fashion. Your adventure begins with the Mount Rushmore National Memorial, where you'll be able to stand in awe of one of America's wonders. You'll have time to tour the visitor center, do some souvenir shopping, and visit exhibits. The Crazy Horse Memorial is your next stop and is the site of the world's "largest mountain carving in progress." This ongoing project is a private, non-profit educational and humanitarian project begun at the request of the Native Americans. The last leg of your journey takes you on a leisurely ride on the famous Needles Highway and Iron Mountain Road. You'll travel through some of the most breathtaking granite formations in the world, and pass through Custer State Park, where the largest wild buffalo herd roams with other protected animals. You will also visit the Big Thunder Gold Mine. Throughout the visit, you will be led by knowledgeable guide for a first-hand look at an authentic gold mine Finally, you'll get to see Harney Peak — the original planned location for the sculpture of the four presidents, the highest point east of the Rocky Mountains, and a location listed on the National Registry of historic places. If you're looking to see the best that South Dakota has to offer, then the Mount Rushmore Tour is for you. Tour Sites Include:
