Mount Rushmore Tour
Mount Rushmore Tour
Experience historic American presidents George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson and Theodore Roosevelt in larger-than-life fashion. Your adventure begins at the Borglum Historical Center where you'll learn about and see the works of sculptor Gutzon Borglum, the designer of Mount Rushmore, as well as other folks involved in the creation of the monument. Next, you're off to Mount Rushmore National Memorial, where you'll be able to stand in awe of one of America's wonders. You'll have time to tour the visitor center, do some souvenir shopping, and visit exhibits.

The Crazy Horse Memorial is your next stop and is the site of the world's "largest mountain carving in progress." This ongoing project is a private, non-profit educational and humanitarian project begun at the request of the Native Americans. The last leg of your journey takes you on a leisurely ride on the famous Needles Highway and Iron Mountain Road. You'll travel through some of the most breathtaking granite formations in the world, and pass through Custer State Park, where the largest wild buffalo herd roams with other protected animals. Finally, you'll get to see Harney Peak — the original planned location for the sculpture of the four presidents, the highest point east of the Rocky Mountains, and a location listed on the National Registry of historic places. If you're looking to see the best that South Dakota has to offer, then the Mount Rushmore Tour is for you.

Customer Reviews
We would not have been able to see what we did on this tour had we drove ourselves around. The tour guide was wonderful and we all had a great time on our tour. We saw things that we weren't expecting. By far the most enjoyable and cost effective part of our vacation.

-Laurie Anderson, Arvada, CO
We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The guide was very knowldgeable about the area, extremely good driver and funny. We would definitely recommend it to our friends and family. Thanks much!

-Mary J. Knapp, Chicago, IL
even though we got on the wrong bus and ended up on an entirely different tour - it was fun and the tour group was fair to us
