Basic Rock Climbing Adventure
Learn to rappel, belay and tie knots as you enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Mount Rushomre area with this 6 hour rock climbing introduction. This course will help you build the confidence you need for climbing steep rocks. You'll also learn safety communication and how to use the equipment properly. Rappelling, belaying, and knot techniques are also taught. You'll be amazed at how much you learn and also how much fun your having. This is a great family friendly activity and provides a fantastic way to enjoy the astonishing beauty of the landscape.
Your guide will do their best to minimize your fears by explaining, demonstrating, and having you practice all the procedures climbers use to avoid hazards.
Details
- Dress for the season
- Sunscreen, lipbalm, and sunglasses are recommended
- Be prepared for inclement weather ( have a pullover, jacket, or windshirt handy)
- Shorts, loose fitting pants, t-shirts, & sweatshirts are appropriate for summer outings
- Cameras are welcome
- Climbing gear is included at no extra charge (shoes, helmet, harness, pack, and hardware)
- Bring at least 2 liters of water with you.
