The Fort Worth Stockyards in Fort Worth, TX are the National Historic District of the livestock history of Texas. The livestock industry played a large part in the history of Fort Worth and the state of Texas. Everything about that time is displayed in the Stockyards. There are the original brick and mortar buildings and wood corrals. Each person that played a part in the history of the time is represented, too, from the cowboy to the banker. Another popular attraction is the Cowtown Cattlepen Maze. This maze is over 5,400 square feet in size. It is a challenge even if you have done it before because it is changed often. There is also an observation deck where your friends or family can watch as you try to make your way through the maze. For a fun activity there is the Jersey Lilly Photo Parlor where you can get pictures taken in old west style. You are given props and costumes to complete the look. It is a great keepsake.
