Restaurants and Dining in Dallas, Texas

Is a trip to Dallas on your agenda for the near future? If so, looking for a good place to eat while you are there can sometimes be hit-or-miss, especially with so many restaurants to choose from. Here are just a few that have excellent food and prices that won't put a dent in your pocket so that you will have plenty of funds for the fun things you have planned.

Family-Style Restaurants in Dallas

  • The Allgood Cafe is a good place to start, as they serve breakfast and lunch every day and dinner is served Thursday through Saturday. With real down-home cooking and prices that can't be beat, this may become a regular place for you in Dallas. A bonus at Allgood Cafe is that they have live entertainment after dinner hours.
  • Other good family-style restaurants are familiar to many like Boston Market, Chuck E. Cheese's, and The Olive Garden.
  • For some great desserts that the kids will love, look no further than the Marble Slab Creamery or The Cheesecake Factory.

Fine Dining in Dallas

  • If you want a special night out with fine dining and romance, try the Abacus. Chef Rathbun and his team go out of their way to prepare dishes that will last in your memory forever. Since Rathbun uses fresh ingredients, the menu changes but the quality will always stay the same. From soups and salads, sushi, main dishes, desserts to die for and an excellent wine list to compliment Rathbun's famous style of cooking, you will be surprised that all of this is quite affordable.
  • For food that is focused more on America's regional cuisine, Chef Rathbun opened Jasper's, where you will get food that Chef Rathbun would prepare if you were to visit his home. Whether you are looking for an inexpensive light meal or a higher-end dining experience you will find it at Jasper's. With great comfort foods like Rotisserie chicken, prime rib, pizza, and burgers to desserts that will make your tongue sing like Peach Upside Down Crunch Cake with peach caramel, Cherry Limeade Pie, and Rick's 'Rockin' Chocolate Cake, Jasper's is one place to put on your list of favorites.
  • Sambuca will be another for the favorite list. The sister-sister team of Kim and Holly Forsythe will wow you with a menu that is varied for any mood and a wine list that goes on forever. Making a perfect night for you is what Sambuca's is all about.

Texas is big and Dallas seems bigger with so many choices of things to do and see as well as eat while you visit. Not only will you find your favorites, but you may add to that list. From family-style to fine dining, Dallas will offer up the best no matter what you choose and will only serve to make your stay much more pleasurable.
