Cowboys, Texas Rangers, Mavericks, and Stars Make Dallas a Pro Sports Haven

Do you live for sports? If you are coming to the Dallas area you won't have to give up your sports to do it. In the Dallas, Fort Worth area there are more sports than there is time to see them all.

NFL's Dallas Cowboys at The Corral

  • Let's start with the Dallas Cowboys. Getting their start in 1960 and starting off as a swing team they have blossomed into one of the top teams with a long and loyal following. If you are in town to see a game you might want to stop by The Corral. The Corral is a tent located outside of Gate 8. It's open three hours before a game and will have you partying with live music, entertainment, food, and beverages. You can hang here through out the game and for two hours after each home game. A ticket to the game and three bucks will get you in. Want to take a tour of the stadium? They have tours Monday through Saturday on the hour and begin and end at the Dallas Cowboys Pro Shop.

MLB's Texas Rangers at Ameriquest Field

  • Is baseball your sport? On April 1, 1994 the Texas Rangers started playing on the Ameriquest Field in Arlington. This is a baseball-only facility that was completed in just 23 months. Touted as a state-of-the-art building that provides the utmost in customer convenience, but built with tradition and intimacy in mind, staying for a game will be quite tempting. Here at the Ameriquest Field you will find the home of Legends of the Game Baseball Museum and Learning Center where you get the chance to experience the game of baseball on an entirely different level. With your admission to the museum you also get a tour of the stadium.

NASCAR at the Texas Motor Speedway

  • If racing is your thing then you will love touring Texas Motor Speedway. It's one the world's largest and most modern sports and entertainment facilities. You will first get to see the one thousand acres that make up the Speedway from the luxury suite level, so don't forget your camera. You will get to see pit road , victory lane, and the concourse. Depending on availability you will be able to take a lap around the track in the tour van. This will make for an exciting day for anyone that loves racing.

NBA's Dallas Mavericks and NHL's Dallas Stars at American Airlines Center

  • For a well-rounded view of all the sports in the Dallas area include the American Airlines Center home to the Dallas Mavericks Basketball team and the Dallas Stars Hockey team. You have to call ahead because tours are done by appointment only, but well worth it. The tour begins in the arena bowl and then it is off to the Event Level, the bunker suites and locker rooms have limited access but you will be taken through and shown all of the highlights of this great arena. Most tours last about an hour. If you have a large group of twenty or more you can call ahead and box lunches can be arranged.

When you come to the Dallas, Fort Worth area plan on adding some extra excitement to your trip with a tour of one or all of these sports facilities, the kids will have a great time and the kid in you will come out to play.
