When visiting the South Rim at
Grand Canyon National Park, one of the best panoramas a traveler can expect to see will be found at the Yavapai Observation Station. The bright red rock of the canyon walls can be seen from this point, as well as a number of tributary canyons. Travelers will also see rafts parked at Boaters Beach near the base, as well as Bright Angel Canyon and Phantom Ranch.
The observation station also has a bookstore that contains a number of geology exhibits and area guides. Parking can be difficult at times, so it is advised to walk to the point from the South Rim Trail.
