Visit the Sycamore Canyon Wilderness, home of the second largest canyon in Arizona, and you'll find no paved roads, no campgrounds, and no crowds. Pure wilderness is all you will find here--5,593 acres of it, to be exact. You'll also find colorful cliffs, pinnacles and a rare desert riparian area. The area offers an abundance of hiking and horseback riding, Red rocks, pinnacles, buttes and arches, Photography & wildlife viewing, Swimming and Fishing, History (Indian ruins, old cabins).
Trails in the wilderness include: Kelsey Winter Trail #3, Little L.O. Trail #6, Dorsey Springs Trail #7, Taylor Cabin Trail #35 Winter Cabin Trail #70, Sycamore Rim Trail (Kaibab National Forest) #45, Parson's Trail #144.
No motorized or mechanized vehicles are permitted here, not even mountain bikes, and camping is prohibited.
