Part of the National Register of Historic Places, Pancho McGillicuddy's was established in 1893 as the Cabinet Saloon. However, the spittoons and pipes are gone, and diners will enjoy a smoke-free dining room filled with Mexican decor. There are succulent specialities offered, including "armadillo eggs," the local name for deep-fried jalapeƱos stuffed with cheese, as well as fish tacos, and the pollo verde -- chicken breasts smothered in a sauce of cheese, sour cream, and green chiles. There is also a bar where you can smoke, watch the action on the TVs, and enjoy more than 30 types of tequila.
