Known as "The Gateway to the Grand Canyon," you owe it to yourself to browse around this historic town on your way to the Grand Canyon.
While there is plenty of modern amenities to enjoy, the town has an incrediblly facinating history of this one-time frontier area. Many of the buildings built the year of the birth of Williams, which was 1800, still remains today.
Many of the saloons, bordellos, and shops have been resurrected by the local merchants, dedicated to preserving the town's rich history. Walk down the brick sidewalks, listen to the bells of the roar of the restored steam-engine trains leaving the Grand Canyon Railway and Depot, and relive an incredible time long forgotten.
