The Sunset Limited Tour at the Grand Canyon Railway Depot, Williams, AZ

Every fall on selected dates in September and October, the Grand Canyon Railway offers sunset train excursions that allow visitors to view a spectacular Arizona sunset over the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. The Sunset Limited is a streamliner-era stainless steel train with only First Class cars and service. The train travels out of Williams, Arizona and arrives at the Grand Canyon just in time for sunset. After the sunset has subsided, passengers reboard the train to enjoy appetizers, hors d'oeuvres, and a full bar.

This nostalgic and romantic train ride is a throwback to an earlier time, where train travel was glamorous and luxurious. Each train ride can accommodate only 150 people, and only those 17 and up are permitted to attend - no children are allowed. Tickets for the round-trip train ride including admission to the Grand Canyon National Park, hors d'oeuvres, and an open bar start at $179. Hotel packages in Williams start at $249 and include a full breakfast. Be sure to book your tickets fast, as only 7-10 sunset trips per year are offered.
