Standing over 4,000 feet in the air and staring straight down into the canyon floor will soon be possible, as the Grand Canyon Skywalk is about to open in March. As the first cantilever shaped glass walkway to extend 70 feet from canyon rim, visitors will the first to see the canyon from an angle usually reserved for birds and helicopters.
A small fee of $25 per person is required for entrance to the Skywalk, which is owned and operated by the Hualapai Tribe on the west end of the Grand Canyon. 125 people may be on the glass structure at a time, and the walkway will be open from dawn until dusk.
