Art of Recovery at the Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix, AZ

The Art of Recovery Expo is an annual event held at the Phoenix Convention Center each September in celebration of National Recovery Month. The event is sponsored by Barbara Nicholson-Brown and her husband, Bill Brown. The motto or slogan of the event is, ???Dance to the Music of Life.??? Their goal is to raise awareness of the effectiveness of treatment and the hope of recovery. They hope to offer resources and help to those seeking recovery from addiction or mental illness in a positive and even entertaining atmosphere to remove the stigma of recovery. Admission is free! Exhibitors are from various avenues of treatment, all with the same goal of promoting recovery. There are counselors, therapists, treatment facilities and out-patient clinics presenting their services to help. This expo is a valuable resource to not only those battling addiction or mental illness, but to professionals treating those who suffer.
