Located in the National Geographic Visitor Center, The Grand Canyon IMAX Movie has been viewed by over 11,000,000 people. The Grand Canyon IMAX Theater, one of the first IMAX theaters ever built, is a seven story giant big screen located just south of the South Rim Entrance. In just 35 minutes, you can get a spectacular view of vistas, canyon experiences and historic explorations all from the comfort of your chair. Once you are ready for some more sightseeing, be sure to visit the Grand Canyon Desert View Watchtower. This Indian Watchtower, built in 1932 and designed by Mary Colter, is located at the eastern end of the South Rim. Don't forget your cameras, as you will get the chance to climb to the top of the tower and capture some breathtaking views of the Grand Canyon Area. The tower is noted for its intricte design and stonework. It is constructed with triangular stones in various patterns, textures, and windows of different shapes and sizes. The kiva room, which is the largest room in the building, has some amazing rustic furnishings as well as paintings. Don't leave the Grand Canyon without experiencing the Grand Canyon Railway. Just sit back, relax, and get ready for the most astonishing and picturesque views of the Grand Canyon from your train car. Not only will you experience the amazing views, but you will take a step back in time and learn some fascinating Grand Canyon history and folklore. Maybe after you have a chance to visit the Hubbell Trading Post, be sure to visit the Yavapai Observation Station for a look at some more spectacular views. Not only will you have the chance to capture some phoots of the Canyon, but you may also see some areas of the inner Canyon, including Phantom Ranch.
