Our tour guide (Russ) clearly loved the Canyon area, and was very knowledgeable about the background and lore of not only the geography and geology, but also the personalities that have inhabited the Canyon area from ancient days clear through the 1950s and present day. He was able to take us on short and very accessable trails that I would never have thought to go on if I had just gone there on my own. Our group's age ranged from seniors to 2 year olds, and only some of the more rugged 'below the rim' trails were too difficult for the less able, although there were always photo opportunities and other activities available while the short hikes were going on. The cold-cut sub sandwich lunch was of good quality and came with chips, fruit, cheese and a drink, and was filling and entirely satisfactory.
The only negative is that if someone sleeps in or causes the van to wait, it puts everyone else behind. We were picked up 40 minutes late due to an earlier pickup not being ready when the van came for them. This was annoying, but overall this didn't impact the quality of the tour, since we had plenty of time at each stopping point at the Canyon. We stayed at the Best Western in Williams, which was surprisingly nice and completely adequate in every way, and from that location we didn't have to spend an unpleasant amount of time in the van travelling to and from the park.
Booking the trip was easy and absolutely worth the price. We got so much more from this guided tour than if we had tried to do it alone. Overall I absolutely recommend this and encourage anyone to look into it if they're planning a trip to the Grand Canyon.

Our guide David was top notch. He was so knowledgeable on the canyon. He had a telescope and knew just exactly where to point it to see things you would never even know were there. INCREDIBLE MAN!!
I just hope he gets the recognition he deserves.
