Mount Revelstoke National Park preserves the interior wet belt, an area of British Columbia that is filled with mountains, wildflowers, and the world's only temperate rainforest. The region of Mount Revelstoke National Park is characteristic of steep mountains, diverse wildlife, and a warm, moist climate. At this park, you'll see old-growth cedars and hemlock, species of trees that are beginning to disappear outside of preserved areas. These and other plants such as western red cedar and white pine, Pacific yew, and an assortment of ferns and mosses make up the lush temperate rainforest. The abundance of wildflowers in the summer months also makes this park a famous spot. Mount Revelstoke is also home to mountain goats, grizzly bears, wolverines, American Dippers, and endangered mountain caribou. When you visit Mount Revelstoke, you'll have the chance to take long hikes or short strolls through their trails up to the lakes and mountains, where you'll see the gorgeous natural surroundings of the park. Backcountry camping is also available if you'd like to take an extended stay at this beautiful park.
