For over 50 years travelers to Gatlinburg, TN have visited the downtown area to ride the Sky Lift, the most popular scenic overlook in the Smokies.The
Gatlinburg Sky Lift takes travelers over the Little Pigeon River and 1,600 feet into the air and deposits them at the overlook. Once there, they recieve an unparralleled view of the Smokies and the colors of the city.
The overlook point also has a gift shop, where travelers may purchase a picture of themselves as they were riding to the top. The 4,000 square foot area also has a picnic area and snack shop.
