Located within Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Rainbow Falls is the highest single waterfall in the park, with water plunging 80 feet off a rocky bluff.
Getting to the falls takes a 5.5 mile roundtrip hike that is rated from moderate to strenuous. However, the hike is worth it just to see the amazing beauty of the falls. The water cascades and pours over the jagged rocks down into a stream. You can sit and watch the falls for hours and listen to the peaceful rush of sounds made by the waterfall.
