The Pancake Pantry in Gatlinburg, TN is one hidden gem of the Smokies that visitors have been raving about for the past 25 years. Seeing a line of 30 people outside the Pancake Pantry is not an unccommon affair, as the restaurant has been ranked #1 in the city by numerous publications. Be sure to bring cash or use the onsite ATM however, because the restaurant does not accept checks or credit.
Since 1960 the family owned and operated restaurant has been providing everything from Austrian Apple-Walnut pancakes to their unusual Polish Aristocrat. The restaurant opens at 7am and is open until 4pm June through October and until 3pm the rest of the year.
