Located between Knoxville and Sevierville just about an hour from Gatlinburg, Marble Springs is a 38 acre tract of land featuring the home of Revolutionary War Leader and Tennessee's first governor, John Sevier.
The site is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and features ongoing archaeological studies. There are seven original and reconstructed buildings which offer a look at the life and times of John Sevier. An outdoor stage and visitor's center are also located at the site. With history interpreters in period costume roaming the grounds, you'll feel like your in the 18th century. There are also a wide range of events and activities that take place at the site including militia drills, spinning & weaving, tomahawk throwing, and tavern life.
