Located in Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Grotto Falls is about 25 feet high and is the only waterfall in the park that visitors can walk behind.
The waterfall can be found off of the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail. It is about 2.5 miles roundtrip and the trail is wide with easy footing and not that steep to climb. The hike should only take about 1 hour and will take you through a scenic forest full of hemlock trees and there are also plenty of benches along the way if you should need to stop and rest.
