Located on the front lawn of the Sevier County Courthouse Lawn, the bronze Dolly Parton statue is an unyielding icon of the accomplishments of this hometown hero.
Although she may sing about life "40 Miles from Poplar Bluff," Dolly is really just a hometown girl from Sevierville, Tennessee, and folks back home sure are proud of her!
The bronze statue, which was sculpted by local artist Jim Gray, portrays a young Dolly - barefoot, smile blazing, guitar in hand. You're sure to hear this lovely lady's name spoken quite often in these parts - especially if you happen to visit Dollywood, Dollywood's Splash Country, or Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede. Be sure to take time out to swing by and have a photo taken with this likeness of the legend herself!
