Celebrate the unique and endearing culture of the Smoky Mountains with the Spring Festival and Old Timers Days in Townsend. The festival is located at the Townsend Visitors Center, and is highlighted by hot barbecue and the cool strummin' of bluegrass music. Several bluegrass artists and bands from around the region will be on hand to play, while cloggers take the stage to demonstrate the recognizable dance of the area.
Other events during the Spring Festival and Old Timers Days include arts and crafts displays, nature programs, wildflowers programs, and more. Antique equipment displays, storytelling, contests, and demonstrations are also frequently showcased. A barbecue cook-off adds the perfect end to a festival that is truly all-Smoky Mountains!
