National Basketry Organization Exhibition
The National Basketry Organization which is located in Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts in Gatlinburg, Tennessee currently trusts its volunteers to carry out various organization tasks. The teams and those people who lead the organization are responsible for fundraising through personal solicitations, grants and special events like sales, auctions and fund raising parties.
Membership or Liaison: As they are responsible for making and maintaining the membership throughout the nation, the organization also determines the membership level, the advantages that are associated with the standard membership and other additional advantages that are linked to higher level membership. The teams of the organization interface with the local and state guilds and basketry associated organization and also with the native people.
The communication and publication: The communication and publication sector of the organization helps in maintaining all the teams to continuously appear towards the public relation efforts. In addition to this the team also has a major responsibility for the relations efforts of the native public including the press release, web site and the email responses. It's also responsible for designing and publishing their newsletter although following the directions and inputs from the board (editorial policies).
History / Education / Archives: This sector of the organization networks with the existing individuals and organizations to appraise and disseminate the information about the current states of the basketry organization. They also document all the works of the NBO and also maintain their preservations. Developing criteria funding for the scholarships in basketry of NBO is also done by the team. It also establishes the trainee and the monitoring program for all types of membership.
