Easter Breakfast Buffet at Ober Gatlinburg Ski Resort & Amusement Park in Gatlinburg, TN
Easter at the Ober Gatlinburg Ski Resort in Gatlinburg, Tennessee is a truly unique event. The tram at the bottom of the mountain starts transporting visitors on a scenic ride over the Smoky Mountains at 6 AM. At 7 AM, a well-attended, beautiful mountaintop Easter worship service takes place. When the service is complete, attendees then take part in a sumptuous breakfast buffet prepared by the resort and served by the lodge at the top of the mountain. Talk about a unusual way to partake in the religious events of Easter Sunday! The event is also a great opportunity to bond with other Christian community members.
The cathedral-ceiling lodge where the breakfast buffet is served offers fireside dining and spectacular views of the snow-capped Smoky Mountains. Unfortunately, the tram and the restaurant are not wheelchair-accessible. The service and breakfast are free to attend, and can mark the start of a great Easter Sunday. The rest of the day can be spend in Gatlinburg, where you can have an Easter dinner with family at one of the area's many restaurants, or attend an evening service at one of the many area churches.
