Overview of The Southern Gospel Hall of Fame at Dollywood

Gospel music has its roots embedded deeply in the South. It was born here and is now kept alive by the efforts of The Southern Gospel Music Association, which was formed in 1994. The main goal of the SGMA is to preserve, protect and promote Southern gospel music, its history and heritage.

At Dollywood you will find the Southern Gospel Hall of Fame and Museum, where over one million visitors come to see and learn all about this genre of music by reading and observing visual displays and memorabilia from a century of gospel music. Thousands of items from some of the greatest musical artists ever can be found here.
