Daredevil Falls
Daredevil Falls
Dollywood features a variety of rides, including thrill, water, family and children's rides. This is a picture of Daredevil Falls, a thrill ride and boat expedition ending with a 60-foot drop.

There's no place in the world quite like Gatlinburg, Tennessee. It's nestled in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains, right on the Great Smoky Mountains Parkway near Pigeon Forge. Gatlinburg offers entertainment and excitement at every turn, both indoor and outdoors. There's something to do in our mountain village for everyone. Take a look at some of the top attractions:

Dollywood
There aren't many people as fabulous as Dolly Parton, but while you're in Gatlinburg, you can visit Dollywood, where you can see a two-room replica of the Smoky Mountain home Dolly grew up in, as well as an 1890s schoolhouse. Dollywood also features plenty of rides for all ages — there's the Convoy and the Barnstormer for the little ones, the Carousel and Dolly's Demolition Derby for the whole family, water rides like the Smoky Mountain River Rampage, and for the thrill seekers, the Blazing Fury and the Tennessee Tornado. There are also over two dozen restaurants and a gift shop, making Dollywood a special destination all by itself!

RainForest Adventures
RainForest Adventures is an all-indoor exhibit of hundreds of animal species, built by the same folks who worked on Disney's Animal Kingdom. After you go past the ancient ruins and the 25-foot jungle waterfall, you'll see brightly colored birds, ring-tailed lemurs, poisonous snakes, and giant tortoises. You can watch an entertaining and informative show put on by the staff of experts, or just wander around on your own. There is free parking and a gift shop, and RainForest Adventures is open every day of the year except Christmas.

Guinness World of Records Museum
The Guinness World of Records Museum contains exhibits featuring some of the world's most amazing people, the record-breaking feats they've accomplished, and some of the most bizarre collections you've ever seen.

Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede
Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede is a breathtaking and awe-inspiring show featuring music, comedy, and the incredible stunts by the show's 32 horses. Did we forget to mention that your ticket to the show includes free parking and a delicious home-cooked four-course meal? Suitable for all ages, you must see this show at least once in your life, and the only time you can do that is while you're visiting Gatlinburg.

Sweet Fanny Adams Theater
For a trip back to the classic American vaudeville of the 1890s, a trip to the Sweet Fanny Adams Theater is just the ticket. The music and slapstick comedy will leave you with a smile on your face for hours. This show is slightly naughty (although not TOO naughty), but you'll probably want to take a break from the kids for this one.

Other Shows and Entertainment in the Smoky Mountains
Other great shows in the area include the Ole Smoky Hoedown for some good, clean, old-fashioned Southern country-style entertainment; the Country Tonite Show, non-stop music, comedy, and fun for the whole family; and the spectacular Come Celebrate America show.

That's just a taste of what you will experience when you visit the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area. Music, comedy, exhibits, great food, and some great down-home Southern hospitality.
