Daredevil Falls

Dollywood features a variety of rides, including thrill, water, family and children's rides. This is a picture of Daredevil Falls, a thrill ride and boat expedition ending with a 60-foot drop.

Bluegrass & BBQ will be featured at Dollywood from September 15-27, 2006. This event features some of the biggest and brightest stars of bluegrass along with some of the best bands and musicians from the area. In addition to the fantastic music, some of the most delicious BBQ in the country is served up. With a variety of different BBQ from all over the area, the Bluegrass and BBQ will not only bring music to your ears, but it is sure to make your mouth water! A few of the scheduled performers include:

The Del McCoury Band

• Regularly featured at the Grand Ole Opry, the Del McCoury Band will treat you to some of the best bluegrass around.

Cherryholmes

• A family of six make up this unique ensemble. A father, mother, and their four children ages 13-21 showcase their talents with singing, dancing, and playing their music. With appearances at the Ryman Auditorium and Grand Ole Opry, they are certainly one of the best bluegrass groups out there.

Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder

• With countless awards and appearances all over the counter, Ricky Skaggs and his band Kentucky Thunder are one of the best known bluegrass groups around. This group leads the charge in bringing a new appreciation and celebration of bluegrass.

Riders in the Sky

• The music of this group is grounded in the American tradition of the legendary cowboy singers such as Gene Autry and Roy Rogers. They will entertain audiences of all ages their rich and classic sound.

Melonie Cannon

• The daughter of songwriter and producer Buddy Cannon, this Nashville native grew up mingling with some of the greatest legends of country music. Today, she is known for her beautiful and down home voice.
