Cooler weather is just around the corner! It’s the time of year when we start seeing milder temperatures all across the map, and after this summer we all deserve a break from the sweltering heat. There are several different destinations for some fall weather excitement, and we’ve picked a few of our favorites to give you a starting idea for your next trip.

Enjoy some outdoor excitement as well as some indoor entertainment at Dollywood Theme Park Tennessee located in Pigeon Forge. Catch some thrills on the Wild Eagle roller coaster, the newest addition to Dollywood’s already remarkable lineup of rides. On this unique coaster, riders will feel as if they’re flying when they reach heights as tall as 21 stories above the park. If you want to sit and relax for a while, take time to see one of the numerous shows offered at Dollywood. See performances from the award-winning southern gospel quartet, Kingdom Heirs, or witness a show all about bubbles, The Gazillion Bubbles Show. And, of course, you can’t forget about the wide variety of restaurants Dollywood Theme Park Tennessee has to offer.

From now until around the end of October, take pleasure in seeing some breathtaking views on the All American Tour in the Niagara Falls area. On this four hour guided tour, you will see and learn about highlights of the American side of the falls such as the American Falls, Lower and Upper Rapids, Horseshoe Falls, Whirlpool State Park, Luna Island, Terrapin Point, Three Sisters Island, and many more picturesque locations. The All American Tour also includes a ride on the Maid of the Mist boat where you will have the opportunity to see the falls up close. Next, take pleasure in Journey Behind the Falls which provides some grand views of Niagara Falls from the bottom of Horseshoe Falls.

Another perfect destination for this time of year is a trip to Mackinac Island where you can enjoy several relaxing and peaceful activities. Spend a few hours on the Mackinac Island Carriage Tours & Butterfly Conservatory where you will witness beautiful views of the island while riding in a classic horse drawn carriage. At the Wings of Mackinac Butterfly Conservatory, see thousands of elegant butterflies of all different colors fly freely in a flourishing garden setting. During your trip to Mackinac Island, also take time to attend the Grand Hotel Luncheon Buffet and Self-Guided Tour. The Grand Hotel is a popular destination with its impeccable landscaping, colorful history, and its title of having the longest front porch in the world. With several destination options for the end of summer, planning a trip should be fun and easy. Whether you are looking to take a romantic getaway to a secluded spot, wanting to spend some well deserved quiet time all by yourself, or exploring the option of taking the entire family out for an exciting outdoor excursion, we are here to help.

Dollywood - Pigeon Forge, TN
We had a wonderful time at dollywood. It is a lot more slow paced than disney! I brought my 3 year old grandson and his parents for a vacation this past june. He talked for weeks that mamaw and ethan were going to ride the train, wooo, wooo! He was so excited and it was everything he had hoped for. The guys were awesome with him and we got pictures. As they are going back in september i got them season passes. I just wish i could be there to see him and his parents have another great time.

My husband and i have been to pigeon forge for our honeymoon and our 1st anniversary. We decided to come down for our 2nd anniversary this july and go to dollywood. It was our first visit to dollywood and we had a great time. We really enjoyed the different shows we attended including the kingdom heirs quartet. They had a young man who is 15 years old playing the piano and he was great along with the quartet. It was just great! We both needed to use the powerwheel chair's to get around such a big place and they we fantastic for transportation around the park. The staff we talked with were all great too! Thanks for making our 1st trip to dollywood so nice!
